WHY DRAW?

Are there tangible benefits to drawing and painting?
Drawing, Painting, Sketching, Designing, or any other creative endeavor has a wealth of benefits for your personal benefit. You would be surprised at your hidden potential. Check out the benefits below.

BENEFITS OF DRAWING

As a child, you probably loved to draw and paint.  As adults, we get busy with life and don’t make “creativity” a priority in our lives. Drawing and Painting is a form of self expression and can be done at any skill level whether you are a beginner or a pro.

Ever have an idea in your head that you wanted to bring to reality? Drawing allows you to think and generate ideas visually.

As you get better with practice, drawing will inherently make you feel more confident about your new found skills!

Drawing is an incredibly relaxing activity. There is a reason why creative coloring books exist for grown-ups. It helps provide people focus and meditative experience.

Drawing and Painting allows for full development of brain activity. Though artistic expression is commonly known to develop the right side of your brain, but using drawing as a means to develop ideas and problem solve, exercises the left hemisphere as well.

What Our Students Have to Say

I was looking for good online classes on automotive rendering and found Arvind’s course “Rendering Eye Popping Reflections” on Sketch Drive. I was very impressed by how much knowledge Arvind brings to his lessons. He obviously knows the subject matter. He cuts right to the point of understanding how light behaves, and its subtleties when striking vehicles to make your designs really stand out. His genuine passion for the subject matter shows in the way he encourages students to improve with every lesson. I highly recommend this class.

You have created a fantastic course encouraging me to set aside a bit of time each day, devoted to sketching for me. I really feel like I have a better understanding of how to recreate reflection using markers. Which was certainly my aim jointing the course. I hope there is opportunity to do some more courses with you in the future.

A very detailed and accurate series of exercises related to car rendering. The presenter/designer is very positive about the effort required in this area of design. I would advise students of design to consider the series as a great introduction to rendering and sketching, thanks again.
